Christian Hopson became General Manager of the Automotive and Rubbers & Elastomers Divisions in 2015, putting him in charge of overseeing the daily business operations and ensuring the future success of these Units. Christian’s career began with Mitsui over 16 years ago at the Mitsui Toronto Chemicals Division, where he managed a diverse portfolio covering many industries including inorganic chemicals, automotive materials, elastomers and polymeric materials. Before becoming the General Manager, he transferred to Mitsui Plastics as the Group Leader of the Automotive Division. Christian has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and has since continued his education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in Plastics Engineering.
